140502_1.jpgToday, unidentified gunmen entered  the building of the church "Good news" in Sloviansk (troublesome town in Donetsk region that became HQ for pro-Russian separatist). Building was closed and there were no people inside. The faithful noticed a broken door, and later understood that unknown persons visited the premises: casings from AK rifles were found and the lock on the door had been shot.

Then they noticed the broken windows, through which people could climb to the roof of the building. And there, as suggested representatives of the community, the attackers planned to equip the military point for a sniper.

As members of the community described to RISU, the Church "Good News" is situated in such a spot that from its rooftop there is view of the entire city and it's possible to track the traffic on the Kharkiv-Rostov highway. In their opinion, pro-Russian fighters decided to use their church premises for tracking and shooting or air defense.

Pastor Peter Dudnik confirmed that indeed unknown armed people had entered the building. But he said that at the moment there are no unknown people in the church.

The pastor appealed to the faithful asking to pray for peace and for the premises of the church "Good News" not to be damaged in the fights.
