First All-Ukrainian prayer for health professionals held in Kyiv

On August 9, Patriarch Filaret held the first All-Ukrainian prayer for health professionals in St. Sophia Cathedral on the day of remembrance of the holy martyr Panteleimon (who is the patron saint of doctors), Religion in Ukraine has reported" referring to the UNN.

On August 9, Patriarch Filaret held the first All-Ukrainian prayer for health professionals in St. Sophia Cathedral on the day of remembrance of the holy martyr Panteleimon (who is the patron saint of doctors), Religion in Ukraine has reported" referring to the UNN.

Ex-president of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk, president of the National Academy of Medical Sciences Vitaliy Tsymbalyuk, representatives of Ukrainian Churches, and 20 nominees for the Order of St. Panteleimon in the field of medicine were present at the service.

 

The patriarch expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian doctors and prayed for their health and professionalism. Also, the 5 best doctors were awarded the Order of St. Panteleimon. Of the entire Ukraine, 20 nominees were selected, five of which received awards in five nominations: Best Doctor, Best Health Worker, Public Service, Healthcare Innovator, and International Health Cooperation.
