On November 9-12, the church “Philadelphia” in Kyiv hosted the Eastern European Leadership Forum (EELF), which brought together about 650 participants from Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania, the Christian Mega-portal invictory.com reports, referring to the press center of EELF.

On November 9-12, the church “Philadelphia” in Kyiv hosted the Eastern European Leadership Forum (EELF), which brought together about 650 participants from Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania, the Christian Mega-portal invictory.com reports, referring to the press center of EELF.

 

Everyone who had checked in at the Forum had the opportunity to visit for 3 days the morning sections, which were 12. The sections brought together the evangelical leaders in a particular area.

The most high-profile discussion concerned the church leadership, the role of the pastor and social work in the community.

 

The event format provided for the morning and evening sessions, where the main messages of the Forum were voiced, sermons and welcome speeches sounded. The speakers were vice president of academic programs and strategies of the Christian Leaders Forum Daryl McCarthy, Secretary General of the Swedish Evangelical Alliance Stefan Gustavson, MP Pavlo Unguryan, pastor of “John Chrysostom” Church and author of the book “A Golden Age of Belarus” Antoniy Bokun, senior pastor of “Philadelphia” Church Anatoliy Kozachok.

 

Lecturing at the Forum were speakers from different countries: Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Great Britain, Sweden, Holland, USA, overall about 100 Christian leaders. Each of them shared their message, backed by personal experience of service.

The main objective of the Eastern European Leadership Forum is to train Christian leaders to work effectively in all sectors of society - business, media, education, social work, leadership, culture and others. The Forum raised urgent issues of nowadays: aid to refugees in the east of Ukraine, hostilities in Donbas, corruption, quality education, church leadership.
