Protestants invite to prayer and fast against the sin of corruption

So they call to all-Ukraine fasting and prayer "for the preservation of Ukraine from foreign and domestic threats"on the eve of Easter, April 9-11.

The Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine adopted at a recent meeting an appeal “On Opposing Corruption.” “Every day, along with news about the war with the external enemy, we hear over and over again about the enemy inside. It is sad to admit, but the costs of corruption are incredibly high. The sin of theft is mercilessly destroying our nation,” states the document published on the website of the Christians of Evangelical Faith.

Most Protestant Churches point out that “the experience of other nations shows that all good changes in the life of a person and the whole nation begin with attitude change. We ask all concerned Christians to pray sincerelyto God for God's protection and rehabilitation of our government and the people.”

So they call to all-Ukraine fasting and prayer "for the preservation of Ukraine from foreign and domestic threats"on the eve of Easter, April 9-11.

They also appealed to the President of Ukraine with the words of Scripture: “ But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens..” "The current and future generations will appreciate Ukrainian political will and clear steps in the reform of the courts and permit system, local government and other important components of the state. Please be assured that our prayer and pastoral ministry will continue to serve the good of Ukraine,” members of the Evangelical Protestant Churches emphasize.
