"We need justice. This is what we are seeking. And when justice is not full of love, it turns into revenge. In our today's societyrenewed by the Revolution of Dignity we need justice. It is therefore natural that we strive for justice, either in the investigation of crimes at Maidan, or in other areas of life,” the head of the church said.

He expressed hope that the truth will prevail. "We really want to hear the names of perpetrators, not to pour hatredon someone, but to really improve our society. It is obvious that society should stimulate some to extent and contribute to the investigation of these crimes,” the patriarch says.

“Yes,” he said, “we really want that these crimes to be investigated as early as possible. But I think thatsometimes you need to wait to be truly objective and fair. For example, the Polish policemen who abused the Polish Solidarity hero have been punished only lately. It took almost 30 years. I hope we will not wait so much, but we really need to heal our society and build it on Christian justice,”  the patriarch believes, as reported by the Information Department of the UGCC.
