UOC (MP) Metropolitan requests to expel Novynskyy from Parliamentary Committee on Culture

Metropolitan Oleksandr (Drabynko) of the UOC (MP) sent a letter to the parliamentary committee on culture and spirituality complaining of the MP of “Opposition bloc” Vadym Novynskyy.

According to depo.ua that cites the source in the parliamentary committee, in his letter Metropolitan Drabynko demands to expel Novynskyy from the above committee because of the latter’s assault on the church representative.

As previously reported, on June 23, in Korets of Rivne region, after the commemoration of the Wonder-working icon MP Vadym Novynskyy attacked Metropolitan Oleksandr (Drabynko) of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky and Vyshneve.

After the death of Metropolitan Volodymyr, His Eminence Oleksandr (Drabynko) was virtually devoid of any influence in the UOC (MP).

From 1998 he had served as administrative assistance to Metropolitan Volodymyr of Kyiv and All Ukraine, from 2006 – as his secretary.
