Patriarch Kirill Greets Ukraine’s Prime Minster Azarov

The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, greeted Mykola Azarov on the occasion of his appointment as Ukraine’s prime minister.

Pat_1.jpgMOSCOW — The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, greeted Mykola Azarov on the occasion of his appointment as Ukraine’s prime minister. The hierarch reminded Azarov that his post “requires full use of strengths.”  He also expressed confidence that such a “patriot and experienced manager” as Azarov “is able to direct the efforts of the government to stabilize and improve the economy, to balance the development of the various ethno-linguistic communities, and to improve the overall state governance.”

According to the press service of the Patriarch of Moscow, he wished the prime minister that “the realistic and predictable policy for meeting the spiritual and material needs of the people gain general support.”
