On April 13, before the forum, the Dognal Group reps published an address calling representatives of the Christian Churches of Ukraine “to support by their participation the action” of the Union of the Orthodox Brotherhoods of Ukraine.

The Dognal Group stated that the forum, which unites representatives of Orthodoxy, Islam, Judaism and other religions, is aimed to “lead weak Christians to accepting the spirit of neo-paganism and New Age, the spirit of Antichrist,” and warned that “God promises that if Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia repent and if Christians promise God to pray for one hour daily during one year, God will save these peoples of the Kyivan Rus from the planned auto-genocide.”

Even more so, the group members announced a severe verdict to the participants of the Kyiv Interfaith Forum: “The Byzantine Ecumenical Patriarch in the authority of the Triune God proclaims the verdict: If Judas’ action in the Kyiv hotel is attended by any representative of a Christian Church or community, God will impose an anathema, a curse on him according to Galatians 1, 8-9.”

Therefore, as of today, according to the Dognal group verdict, Patriarch Theophilus of Jerusalem, Metropolitan Antonii of Boryspil of UOC-MP, and the Primate of UOC-Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Volodymyr should already be anathemized. Earlier, the Dognal group anathemized for “ecumenism and modernism” Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI as well as Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church and everyone in communion with him.

The Dognal Group broke off from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and shows solidarity with fundamentalist trends within the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and Russian Orthodox Church.
