In early 2016, the Crimean Diocesan Department of the UOC-Kyivan Patriarchate, according to the decision of the “Arbitration Court of the Republic of Crimea,” was deprived of parts of the premises in the center of Simferopol, which houses the Cathedral of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles, Prince Volodymyr and Olga.

The Ministry of Property and Land Relations of the occupied Crimea intends to use for its own needs the premises that previously belonged to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, which Russian special forces seized in August 2017.

This was announced by the head of the "Ministry" Anna Anyukhina, reported the Center for Journalistic Investigations, citing the website “Kryminform”.

According to her, the premises in the building on 17 Sevastopolska street in Simferopol, will be repaired and the ministry employees will be located there.

“Next year we plan to make repairs to optimize the placement of officials of the ministry, as we are now located at four different addresses,” said Anyukhina.

On June 14, 2016, the “Court of Appeal of Sevastopol” ordered the Crimean Diocese of the UOC-KP to pay a “fine of half a million rubles to the Ministry of Property and Land Relations of the Crimean Republic and vacate 112 sq. m on the first floor of the Cathedral in Simferopol.

On November 8, 2016 in Simferopol, the representatives of the so-called "Property Fund of the Crimea" tried to seal the first floor of the Cathedral of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Volodymyr and Olga of the UOC-KP.

Archbishop Klyment of Simferopol and the Crimean UOC-KP urged the international community to protect the national, cultural and religious rights of Ukrainian citizens in Crimea.

Bishop Klyment requires the Crimean administration of the FSB to investigate the actions of the security forces who blocked the church of the Holy and Equal to the Apostles Princes Olga and Volodymyr in Simferopol on August 31, as well as to ensure the safety of the parishioners.
