The Roman Catholics of Sevastopol intend to celebrate the Easter service in a public garden in front of the former Church of St. Clement.

According to a UNIAN correspondent, so says a letter from March 26 from the senior priest of the Roman Catholic Parish of St. Clement in Sevastopol, Fr. Yurii Syminskyi, to the head of Sevastopol City State Administration, Volodymyr Yatsuba.

In his letter, the priest informed the authorities that the service would be celebrated in the public garden as the asphalt layer in front of the Church of St. Clement had been removed six days before Easter. For the last 15 years, the Catholics had to celebrate services in front of the former Catholic church which is now a cinema.
