UOC (MP) liberated two military servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from captivity

On December 30,the residents of Volyn Oblast, junior sergeant of the 51 Brigade Heorhiy Poteychuk and junior sergeant Svyatoslav Savchuk were released from captivity as a result of negotiations organized by the peacekeeping mission of the UOC (MP) in Donetsk.

The UOC (MP) has also facilitated the process of liberation of a Ukrainian soldier Oleksandr Yaslynskyy, whose destiny was decided in the negotiations held by participants of ‘Patriot’ volunteer group, the official website of the UOC (MP) reports.

“The negotiationsare over. We are a little tired, but we have returned our guys. They will celebrate the New Year with their families. The guys are coming with me by car and are feeling well. Olexandr Yaslynskyy’s mother has been told at once they are currently in Slovyansk and then willgo to Volyn. We will bring Yuri and Svyatoslav in Kyiv, and  their families will come here,they are faithful of the UOC (MP), on whose request we have organized this mission,” said Archpriest Serhiy Yuschyk, first vice rector of Kyiv Theological Academy, a member of the peacekeeping mission.

According to Father Serhiy, the liberated persons were held captive since the end of August and were mobilized in April.
