| Recognition by Greek Church and "domino effect"
A few days ago, the Church media were glued to the monitors, waiting for the long-awaited decision of the Synod of the Greek Church to appear. It concerned the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Although ten days ago, no one was particularly waiting for crucial decisions at the August session. Everyone is waiting for October -- it is then that the Synod of the Hierarchy (Council of Bishops in our terminology) will take place in accordance with the Charter of the Orthodox Church of Greece. The meeting of all the bishops, and they are now more than 140 in the Church of Greece, is still a more presentable event than the usual Synod of 12 Metropolitans. It is the Synod of Hierarchy, as a more representative body, that must decide on recognition of the OCU.

Catholic priest kidnapped in Crimea
In Sevastopol today armed men seized father Mykola Kvych, pastor and military chaplain ofthe Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. He was seized in the church.
The official page of the UGCC states, that this information was confirmed by parishioners who were at the service and by his wife.
In March UGCC priests received oral andwritten threats with the requirement to leave the Crimea. But all pastors have decided not to leave their flock, especially in such difficult times.
Father Nicholas, except his service as pastor, performs duties in Crimea as chief military chaplain of UGCC. "This is - according to Fr. Lubomir Jaworski, deputy head of the Department for Military Chaplancy of the UGCC - could have caused aggression against him from so-called "self-defense units" (armed pro-Russian troops)".
Place where the priest is still unknown. His cell is not responding , even though the phone is not turned off. Around 1 p.m. one of his parishioners called him, father Mykola picked up the phone but was not speaking yet let him hear what was going on around. It was very noisy, he heard yellings and accusations. It seemed that father Mykola was questioned.
“Our priests and bishops have been very close to the people,” said Bishop Borys. “We’ve been inspired by the example of Our Lord [Who] went a long distance from fellowship with the Father to incarnate Himself and be in our reality.”
He said they have also been inspired by the words of Pope Francis “who said a pastor needs to have the smell of his sheep. And our pastors have been with the people, and they’re today with the people enduring this occupation in the Crimea.”
Bishop Borys made a special appeal “to the authorities of the Russian Orthodox Church, who have in direct or indirect ways supported these moves for the for the occupation of Crimea to do everything in their power to have Father Kvych released and to stop the persecution of Catholic priests and Catholic faithful on this peninsula.”
Apostolic Nuncio to Ukraine Archbishop Thomas Gullickson wrote on his Facebook page: "I just received news of the first kidnapping by one of these armed gangs of a Catholic priest in Crimea. The note left at his house was to the effect that this was meant as a warning to all "agents of the Vatican". Please, pray for his release safe and sound"

Священника греко-каталической общины Севастополя задержали с партией бронежилетов. 15 марта в ходе оперативно-розыскных работ, сотрудники севастопольской милиции вышли на Николая Квеча. Во время обыска его квартиры, правоохранители обнаружили десять бронежилетов 4 класса защиты, которые способны остановить пули повышенной пробиваемости.Внутреннее убранство дома пастора изобилует атрибутами радикальных националистических организаций, висят портреты Степана Бандеры и Романа Шухевича. По словам священника, бронежилеты он получил от своего знакомого, который в свою очередь, забрал их в отделении «Новой почты». По информации сотрудников милиции в докладной значилось 12 бронежилетов. НИКОЛАЙ КВЕЧ священнослужитель украинской греко-католической церкви: «Они были предназначены для украинских военных. Так как они заблокированы, эти бронежилеты помогут им более безопасно вести дежурство. -Кто вам передал эти бронежилеты? -Они были переданы через почту. Человек, который пересылал, я с ним только разговаривал. Я не знаю его». Всё снаряжение из квартиры священника изъяли. Пастыря же привлекут к административной ответственности за незаконное хранение спецсредств, применяемых правоохранительными органами.
Ну так, по Криму ходять банди урок і т.зв. казачков, тероризують, грабують, гвалтують - це нормально, це путін-стайл. Кілька десятків тисяч зелених чоловічків з різних куточків російської імперії захопили тут владу - це нормально. А мати захисні бронежилети, щоби від цієї наволочі захищатися, це злочин. Нічого, все так не буде.
Чогось ти, всезнаючий, говориш детально про бронежилети, а тут якось не конкретизуєш: "атрибутами радикальных националистических организаций" - це що? Синьо-жовті або червоно-чорні прапорці? Так це символи нації, яка боролася з твоїми предками, які нас прийшли "визволяти" під кровавим прапором антихриста і з портретами його слуг Леніна-Сталіна.
