Old Wooden Church Burns Down in Lviv Oblast

An old Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church burned down in village of Strumin in the Lviv Oblast.

An old Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church burned down in village of Strumin in the Lviv Oblast.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire in the wooden church dating from 1864 started at 7 p.m. last Saturday.

At 9 p.m., six departments of fire fighters extinguished the fire.

There were no victims or injured persons. The cause of the fire is being established.

Representatives of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs examined the site.
