KYIV – A round table discussion was held at the Kyiv Mohyla Academy on the topic “Successful Career and Christian Values,” organized by the Christian student organization Obnova and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, reports the press service of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC).

In the meeting took part Bishop Joseph (Milyan), auxiliary bishop of the Kyivan Archeparchy of the UGCC; Oleksandr Savruk, head of Kyiv Mohyla business school; Serhiy Holovaschenko, associate professor of the department of philosophy and religious studies; Olena Hantsyak-Kaskiv, executive director of InvestUkraine; and others.

As noted by the head of Obnova, Tetyana Shpaykher, such meetings are good occasions for young professionals to learn from the experience of successful people and to hear the authoritative opinion of the church. “We saw that business and the church need to continuously exchange ideas. Representatives of the church are familiar with the main moral and ethical problems of people who work in business and are able to offer specific solutions,” she said.

Representatives of Obnova also added that the society plans to organize such meetings regularly. “We are very glad that the Mohyla Academy has responded to our suggestion for the problems we have concern the students and graduating students who upon finding work encounter numerous moral and ethical dilemmas.”
