Church Gives Blessing to Teachers and Students for New Academic Year

Traditionally, before the beginning of the new academic year, prayer services for schoolchildren, students and teachers are conducted in churches and cathedrals. The priests ask God for His blessing for the teachers and pupils and successful work during the academic year.

According to orthodoxy.org.ua, this good tradition embraces both the general education institutions and secular higher education institutions and spiritual schools of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate.
