Maltese Aid Service invites volunteers to join the initiative "Saint Nicholas comes to orphans"
On November 1, the charitable organization Maltese Aid Service in Ivano-Frankivsk launches a traditional action "Saint Nicholas comes to orphans.” According to the organizers, the aim of the event is to prepare gifts to children and orphans living in orphanages and children's homes in Ivano-Frankivsk region to St. Nicholas day, as well as provide them with essentials. This year, the office of Maltese Aid Service received nearly two thousand children's letters. “The children write letters not only about the cherished gifts that they would like to get, but also tell about themselves, their preferences, dreams and special skills. They write well about what hurts and what they are lacking. With such a letter can learn a lot about the child and has select to whom he can offer a little joy, warmth and happiness,” the charity managers tell. Those who wish to join the action, can receive letters to St. Nicholas at the office of Maltese Aid Service located at: Ivano-Frankivsk, 1 Lesya Ukrayinka street (opposite the Cathedral).
