Jesuit priest Oleksiy Bredelyev said that their service had been operating in Ukraine since 2008. Nine years ago, they bought a small house on Antonovych street, where a shelter for refugees was arranged. His first visitors were fugitives from Chechnya, Afghanistan, Iraq. Ukraine is seen as a transit country and is not always found themselves on their own. And after Russia had occupied Crimea and invaded the east of Ukraine, fugitives from these regions joined the number of the shelter’s inhabitants.

Caritas Ivano-Frankivsk has officially handed over the equipment to 16 participants in the project “Integration and stabilization support by providing livelihood to IDPs and the population affected by the conflict in Ukraine”, which is implemented in the Ivano-Frankivsk region by the Charitable Foundation "Caritas Ivano-Frankivsk UGCC.”

The Christians of Evangelical Faith, who live in Washington state (USA), provided aid to the military hospital in Dnipro in the amount of USD 800 thousand, according to RISU correspondent Sofia Bogutska. The center’s premises were blessed by Head of the UGCC, Patriarch Sviatoslav (Shevchuk). The premises will host 12 separate projects, whose purpose is to help needy residents of the area, regardless of their confessional or religious affiliation.
