In Kyiv, opened the mural with the image of the 264-th Pope John Paul II.

The image appeared on the wall of a five storey residential building in the Pechersk district. 

Before the street was named after Patrice Lumumba, but recently it was renamed in honor of the Pontiff.

During the opening ceremony, read out the congratulation from the Vatican, where Pope Francis commended the decision to name a street in Kyiv in honor of John Paul II.
