On February 1, 2020, a working meeting was held in the Patriarchal House in Lviv devoted to building an iconostasis in the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ the UGCC in Kyiv. The UGCC Department for Information report.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC, Bishop Josyf Milian, chairman of the supervisory board of the construction of the Patriarchal Cathedral, other responsible persons of the cathedral and the authors of the project of the future iconostasis participated in his work.

The authors of the project of the iconostasis of the Patriarchal Cathedral are Orest Dzyndra and Oleh Lyakhovych (stone plastic), Zenoviy Menshykh and Andriy Yarema (wooden plastic), Bohdan and Danylo Turetsky (authors of the icons).

As noted, the concept of interior decoration of the temple implies the dominance of white color, which symbolizes the heavenly light of the Resurrection of Christ. “Icons, stained glass windows, and mosaic panels will represent the most current trends in Ukrainian sacred art. After all, the Patriarchal Cathedral is a modern building that speaks to a person of the third millennium,” reads the text of the presentation of the idea.

The participants of the meeting discussed the importance of the step-by-step implementation of the project. Therefore, at this stage, they have focused their attention on the production and installation of the "crown of the iconostasis," that is, the group of icons in the sanctuary above the altar. These works must be completed before the iconostasis itself is installed. These works are scheduled for 2020.
