On September 22, 2019, at the Museum of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky (Lviv, 1 Kryvonosa street) the exhibition titled “History of Unconquered Church" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the UGCC's coming out of hiding was opened.

The celebrations began with the episcopal Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Blessed Klyment Sheptytsky. It was celebrated by Metropolitan of the UGCC, Igor (Vozniak). It was reported by the website "Old Lviv's Photos".

Chairman of the NGO ‘Forum Lviv and the Future’ Igor Kuzmak stressed that the opening of Andrei Sheptytsky Museum was another step in the assertion of historical justice and preservation of the common memory of the inhabitants of Lviv.

“It is very symbolic that the first exhibition is dedicated to the period of the underground Church. The attitude to the personality of Metropolitan Andrey is one of those litmuses that reveal people maintaining statecraft outlook. After all, only the figure of a spiritual leader, who grew up at the junction of two cultures and devoted his life to serving people, regardless of their ethnic origin or social status, can unite Ukrainians. I extend my respect to Fr Sevastian Dmytrukh, Fr Justin Boyko and the whole action team for their hard, long but ultimately successful work,” said Ihor Kuzmak.

According to Fr Sevastian Dmytrukh, the space at 1 Kriyvonosa street was vacated for Andrey Sheptytsky's Museum as early as in 2015, but there were some difficulties to transfer it to Church. This is the building of a former monastery of the order of the Reformed, which was occupied by Lviv University of Internal Affairs.

The opening of the first exhibition in the Museum of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky aroused great interest among the residents of Lviv and the region. There one could meet artists, public figures, representatives of the clergy.

At the beginning of July this year, the initiative group led by father Sevastian Dmitrukh appealed to Lviv University of Internal Affairs with a request to transfer the premises for the arrangement of the Museum. But only after promises of father Sevastian Dmitrukh to start a hunger strike, the City Council found premises that could pass the University of the Interior Ministry, freeing up space at 1 Kriyvonosa street for the Museum.
