New Provincial Superior elected in the Province of the Most Holy Savior in Ukraine of the Basilian Fathers

Василіани_2.jpgOn February 10, the provincial Chapter in the Province of the Most Holy Savior in Ukraine elected a new Provincial Superior, his advisers and deputy advisers and delegates to the General Chapter, which will take place in Rome.

 

According to election results, the Provincial Superior of the Province of the Most Holy Savior in Ukraine became Fr John Shkolyk, OSBM, who previously served as vice rector of the Basilian Institute of Philosophical and Theological Studies named after Rutskyy in Bryukhovychi.

 

The newly elected advisers of the Provincial Superior are Fr. Taras Tyzhnyk OSBM, Fr Mychailo Luchkiv OSBM, Vitaly Popadyuk OSBM, Fr. Serhiy Krutovskyy OSBM.

Background: the chapter meeting is convened every four years. It is the highest legislative authority for control and identification of activities at the level of provinces in the spiritual and organizational aspects. 57 participants attended the Provincial Chapter of 2016 took. It was reported by the website of St Onuphrius Monastery in Lviv.
