Sister Edita Maria Ulman of the Missionary Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Spirit from Khmelnytsky initiated #RosaryChallenge in response to the Pope's call to intensified prayer, the Catholic Media Center reports.

According to the report, this Catholic initiative in Ukraine is a sign of solidarity with Pope Francis who asked all the faithful around the world to pray the rosary, “so that the Virgin Mary should take the Church under her protection to protect her from the odds of the father of lies, the great accuser, and help her become more and more aware of the guilt, mistakes and abuses committed today and ever and fight without hesitation so that evil does not win.”

All people of good will are invited to join the initiative, regardless of confessional affiliation.

#RosaryChallenge is a sign of the unity of people in the desire to overcome evil with good, with particular acts of mercy.

#RosaryChallenge terms that participants send to their friends in Facebook and Instagram social network are as follows:

1. Prayer for the unity of the Church - at least a dozen of rosary prayers every day (1 “Our Father” + 10 “The Virgin Mary”).

2. A good deed.

3. Video (photo) of your Rosary.

4. Invitation to three friends.
