Archbishop Mokrzycki to receive in Poland a silver medal "Labor Omnia Vincit"

The medal "Labor Omnia Vincit" was presented to Archbishop of Lviv by the representatives of Hipolit Cegielski Foundation.

The medal "Labor Omnia Vincit" was presented to Archbishop of Lviv by the representatives of Hipolit Cegielski Foundation.

The award was given during the visit of Archbishop of Lviv to Poznan. Mieczysław Mokrzycki met with representatives of business circles and, in particular, members of Hipolit Cegielski Association. The talk was devoted to the discussion of the participation of Polish businessmen in the charitable social initiatives of the Archdiocese of Lviv. In particular, regarding the support of the hospice for the elderly and social refectory for the homeless. Representatives of the Cegielski Association presented Archbishop Mieczysław Mokrzycki with the silver medal of the Labor Omnia Vincit - Work Wins All.

President of the Association Dr. Marian Korol, emphasizes this is a reward for the great personal contribution of the hierarch to the revival of the Catholic Church in Ukraine and the socially important projects it initiates.

“I am very happy that you have conferred on me this distinction, and I am glad that I have been accepted into your community,” Archbishop Mieczysław Mokrzycki said.

During his stay at the Wielkopolska Voivodship, Archbishop of Lviv also visited the St. Andrew's parish in Kliechev and St. Anna parish in Poznan The Metropolitan led the dismissal liturgy and handed over the relics of St. John Paul II to faithful.

“These are relics of the I degree (pieces of the saint’s bone), says the spokeswoman of the Lviv Archeparchy, Fr. Andriy Legovych. Of particular importance was the fact that these relics were handed over by Archbisop Mieczysław Mokrzycki. He reminded that for 9 years he was the closest associate of John Paul II, and after his death, he served for two more years as the Secretary of Benedict XVI.
