| Recognition by Greek Church and "domino effect"
A few days ago, the Church media were glued to the monitors, waiting for the long-awaited decision of the Synod of the Greek Church to appear. It concerned the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Although ten days ago, no one was particularly waiting for crucial decisions at the August session. Everyone is waiting for October -- it is then that the Synod of the Hierarchy (Council of Bishops in our terminology) will take place in accordance with the Charter of the Orthodox Church of Greece. The meeting of all the bishops, and they are now more than 140 in the Church of Greece, is still a more presentable event than the usual Synod of 12 Metropolitans. It is the Synod of Hierarchy, as a more representative body, that must decide on recognition of the OCU.

“I ask you to be patient. Not always all parties can say what they want to say. Sometimes it is necessary to find a compromise”, said Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, Apostolic Nuncio in Ukraine during the Divine Liturgy in the Patriarchal Cathedral, commenting on the meeting of Pope Francis and Patriarch Kirill and joint declaration they signed.
“A meeting of personalities is always the mystery of God. We do not know what others think, and this is what we bring to God's mercy,” said the Apostolic Nuncio.
He noted that many Ukrainians were concerned about meeting between the Pope and the Patriarch of Moscow and now there are different opinions and interpretations of this event. “I know how your nation suffers because of the difficulties of understanding. But, I ask you to be patient. Not always all parties can say what they want to say. Sometimes it is necessary to find a compromise in order to draw up a joint text, a joint declaration. His Beatitude knows well how much work and difficulties the text signed by Francis Pope and Patriarch Kirill cost for us,” said the spokesman.
The papal envoy emphasized that humanity needs something more than a text. "What people will remember - it's their embrace. And the embrace is a holy thing. But, you may say, even Judas kissed Jesus Christ, but then betrayed him. Sometimes we are all little traitors. We must have hope and faith that the Lord can work wonders even through our little failures and weakness,” Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti said.
The Apostolic Nuncio said that in a few days he would set off for the conflict area “where people are suffering.” “This is the main purpose for which the Holy Father has appointed me there. I have to be with those who suffer, to help them in the name of the Pope. I gladly leave to others the opportunity to read and re-read different texts, declarations and find what they wish therein,” the representative of the Vatican in Ukraine said. He said that someone might call his trip an attempt of proselytism, "but it does not bother me,” said Bishop Claudio.

What a lot of longwinded rubbish he speaks. Please come OUT of Fantasialand,and embrace Reality - at least in Ukraine. He Excuses the Roman Curia - AND Francis, esconced as they are within a dynamic all of their own, separate to the Church.
«Іди і ти роби так само» - сказав Ісус до законника, який запитав Ісуса хто є "його ближнім" Цікаво в якій ролі визначився папа з огляду на той факт, що на Україну напав розбійник, пограбував її, побив та продовжує добивати: рабіна, левита чи доброго смарянина? Негарно вийшло,Падре! Відмовитися від червоних капців-це ще не подвиг. Дехто може це навіть назвати піаром. А от прилетіти і підтримати духовних дітей своїх, які ціною власного життя відстоюють такі чесноти як справедливість, чесніть та братерсво, обняти покалічених війною молодих пацанів, молодих вдів та матерів, які оплакують своїх загиблих у війні синів це вже прямий християнський обов'язок та обов'язок "люблячого" батька. Натомість Падре обнімається з розбійниками, називає їх "братом" та проходить повз зраненої жертви. А його нунцій каже потерпіти, бо не завжди усі сторони можуть сказати те, що хочуть сказати. А мені здається, що поступок Папи є навіть дуже красномовним. Треба мати Ісусову відвагу щоб робити так, як Він повчав:" Іди і роби так само" !
По-моему все сошли с ума! Один - Святослав, обвиняет Папу в заблуждении, второй - Гуджеротти, перевирает его намерения! Папа сам решает, что говорить и что делать, и всегда прав! Папа не нуждается в комментаторах и интерпретаторах своих действий! Совсем сбрендили! Скоро, наверное, провозгласят своего Папу - Киевского. Идиотский пример с " патриархом киевским" уже есть!
