Official name of new Orthodox Church and title of its Primate, both according to Charter, announced

The newly formed Ukrainian Church has the official name “Orthodox Church of Ukraine”, Archbishop Yevstraty (Zorya) made this public on his Facebook page.

“The official name under the Charter is the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, as well as the UOC (not to be confused with the MP),” archbishop Yevstratiy emphasized.

The official title of the head of the Church is "Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine".

Archbishop Yevstratiy also announced that the first worship service of the new head of the UOC will be celebrated on Sunday, December 16, at St Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kyiv at 10:00 am.
