President Petro Poroshenko instructed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Rostyslav Pavlenko to elaborate a draft decree on the approval of measures on celebration of the 500th anniversary of Reformation in 2017 in cooperation with representatives of Protestant communities.
The issue of the Reformation influence on Ukrainian Orthodoxy was further addressed by prof. Volodymyr Burega, rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy of the UOC.
Despite the interfaith event format, key speeches and discussions brought about the constructive spirit not only in terms of Catholic-Protestant relations, but also in the search for adequate responses to modern challenges to Christian theology.
