Representatives of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church met with wounded servicemen and conducted prayer services for their rapid recovery, gave them holy water, gave blessing and talked to the soldiers, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports.

Along with other priests, father Yuri Atamanyuk came to the East.

I came to Kharkiv from Kolomyia and will stay daily in the wards with the wounded throughout two weeks. Many of them need to share their problems or just to be advised on some issues by me as a representative of the Church. First of all I want provide them spiritual assistance, because most of them need it”, said Fr. Yuri Atamanyuk.

According to Vikna website, all the priests who came to military medical facility are members of the Commission of the UGCC for pastoral guidance of health care. Representatives of the Commission voluntarily set for the areas of anti-terrorist operation together with the Ukrainian troops.
