“Today Ukraine needs people who have a new heart, cleansed from selfishness, love of power and money. Let us pray and find new fair leaders for our country,” he said.

“Today, we are children of the same Mother Ukraine, are united in mourning. We want the families of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred to first of all know and see that we are together with them, because we are here in Kyiv, where our heroes met not death but the Lord that gives life. He gave them the fullness of life, as He took them in His eternal father's embrace,” Bishop Bohdan Dziurakh, head of the administration of the Patriarchal Curia of the UGCC, said on March 30 on the Maidan in Kyiv during the national assembly and memorial prayer for the heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.vl_dzjurax.jpg

“You have given from your families your most cherished loved ones and received them as heroes who do not die,” continued the Bishop Bohdan. “We believe that today they console themselves with the glory of God, because they joined the ranks of the countless righteous described in the Scripture.”

The bishop urged everyone to pray for the heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and think about the richness and inheritance that they gave us – Ukraine. “Today Ukraine needs people who have a new heart, cleansed from selfishness, love of power and money. Let us pray and find new fair leaders for our country,” he said.

In the end Bishop Bohdan invited all “to become new transformed people who want to build a Ukraine based on God’s law.”

The bishop recited poems by the Kyivan poet Yuriy Titov, who is confined to a wheelchair, dedicated to the Heroes of Maidan, the Information Department of the UGCC reported.
