UGCC Head Will Remind President About Equality of Churches

1268205305_1267911751_p1010053.w.jpgODESA – On March 9, 2010, at a meeting with journalists in Odesa, Patriarch Lubomyr (Husar), head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, in response to a question whether the influence of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate will grow under the new president, Viktor Yanukovych, said that he will remind the president about the equality of all the churches, reported Religion in Ukraine.   

 "We will specifically address the new president of Ukraine for him to strictly comply with the constitution. And according to the constitution, all religious organizations are equal before it and have equal rights," noted Patriarch Lubomyr.

      Якщо ж би то було УПЦ, так не сьогодні-завтра це буде РПЦвУ. А в Почаєві це давно виключно РПЦ.

      This is to be expected in light of Ukraine's current leadership. How can Yanukovych be president of Ukraine when he is not even Ukrainian? He is a fraud. God help Ukraine!
