30 thousand Hasidim to celebrate Rosh Hashanah in Uman
30 thousand pilgrims - Bratslav Hasidim from Israel and Poland - will come to Uman, Cherkasy region on the occasion of the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah.
Uman authorities to introduce increased security measures.450 police officers to ensure law and order in the city. In addition, 15 police officers will come from Israel, the press service of the Interior Ministry informs.
90 employees of the State Service for Emergency Situations will be also engaged. Border Service reported that the Hasidim will arrive through airports of Odessa, Kyiv, Vinnytsia.
Pilgrims will be in Uman 27 September - 7 October, and the holiday of Rosh Hashanah this year falls on 3 - 4 October. Uman is a place of pilgrimage because in this town is buried tsadik - Rabbi Nachman.
