UOC-MP Locum Tenens set up a commission to prepare and hold the council to elect the Primate

In conformity with the Decree by Locum Tenens of the Kyiv Metropolitan’s Throne, Metropolitan Onufriy (Berezovskyy) of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna as of July 9, 2014, the commission was set up to organize and hold the Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church on August 13, 2014 in Kyiv. The Council shall elect a new Primate of the UOC-MP, reports Religion in Ukraine web-site.

The commission includes:

1)       Metropolitan Onufriy of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, Locum Tenens of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, commission’s head

2)       Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chornobyl, Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis, superior of the Holy Dormition Kyiv Caves Monastery

3)       Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, Administrator of the UOC

4)       Bishop Mykolai of Vasylkiv, Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis

5)       Archpriest Volodymyr Kotsaba, head of the Kyiv Metropolis administration

6)       Archpriest Kostyantyn Pylypchuk,  secretary of the Kyiv Diocese

7)       Archpriest Victor Ivashchuk, secretary of the city of Kyiv

8)       Archpriest Ihor Bazarinskyy, head of the Kyiv Metropolis administrative support office

9)       Archpriest George Kovalenko, chair of Synodal Department of the UOC-MP

10)    Archpriest Oleksandr Bakhov, chair of the Legal Department of the UOC-MP

11)    Archpriest Mykola Danylevych, deputy chair of the External Church Relations Department of the UOC-MP

12)    Archpriest Serhiy Yushchuk, first vice-rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary

13)    Archimandrite Anthony (Oliferovich), dean of the Kyiv Caves Monastery
