Easter eggs art-project presented in Lviv

Traditionally, before Easter the Easter eggs festival takes place in Lviv - an art project, in which famous artists, young masters, amateur and community leaders embody all their dreams and ideas in the creation of unique and original Easter eggs. This year Lviv can see about fifty half-meter original Easter eggs.

As described in the commentary to IA ZIK one of the festival organizers Olga Misa-Milyasevych, the Art Gallery in Museyna square has presented half-meter pysanka eggs, although the official opening will take place only on Monday. The exhibition will operate until May 8.

Every year, a certain art project is being implemented at the festival of Easter eggs. In 2015 - it was a woven Easter egg with wooden elements. This year it will be the Easter egg -pointer, which shows the direction and distance to most museums of Lviv. Symbolically, this pointer is set to the Museum Square.

Along with the exhibition there will be an Easter art workshop where all interested persons, adults and children can participate in master classes with the creation of candles, Easter eggs, spring birds and other Easter symbols.

Yesterday, the first workshop of painting traditional Easter eggs was held by master Oksana Nakonechna. Today, all are invited to a master class of painting eggs by etching when eggs are decorated without paint. Also the lessons on making Easter eggs, candles were held. On April 22 and 28 the master classes on painting Easter eggs will be conducted by masters Olga Zhulkiy and Dzvinka Zahayska.

The charity event “Good deed” is also being held in the festival’s framework. This year's fundraiser will be aimed at helping the Children's Department of OKHMATDYT. So the money for participating in master classes at the Easter art studio, the proceeds from the sale of candles, candle eggs in Lviv factory and craft Easter eggs from the Easter eggs gallery in the period from 15 April to 8 May will be directed to a “good deed.”
