Ukraine’s largest crucifix has been installed in Dniprodzerzhynsk. It was made at the Dniprodzerzhynsk Pivdenmash.

According to Dnipropetrovsk. Kommentarii, the crucifix has a height of 12 meters.

The sculptor Harnyk Khachatryan said that the cross is made of iron, which is symbolic for a city with a lot of heavy industry.

The unveiling of the giant sculpture was attended by hundreds of believers and local officials and MPs.

The sculpture was made and installed at the expense of local entrepreneurs, who, along with local government officials, were presented with awards from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate.

The unveiling ceremony did not go quite according to plan, as the crown of thorns on the head of Christ tore the canvas which covered sculpture, so the “ribbon cutting” was no successful.

I am sure that you mean well. But as you well know or should know not all were happy and many still are not happy with that decision. So please don't disinform the trusting people on this site.

Patriarch Filaret should not bully the UAOC into losing it's canonical association with Constantinople. The best thing would be for the KP to join the UAOC and wait until the Holy Spirit steps in.

I don't know if you want the UN involved in your historical sites. For one thing, they do nothing to protect them. They will probably force gays in there or demand women priests. The UN hates a
