Beginning May 1 RISU’s English-version has no funding. Please support us now

Dear readers,
For the first time after 11 years of existence, the English page of the Religious Information Service of Ukraine is facing a serious financial challenge. The National Endowment for Democracy, which had been supporting our activity for 6 years, reduced funding and will continue to sustain only the Ukrainian version of RISU. They support and approve our plans to seek other funding sources and we are trying to do our best to find funds for RISU’s English version. But in fact from today RISU English has no funding.

Our goal is USD 10,000 per year. This is enough to give us the chance to translate and edit news, interviews, and analytical articles, form reference materials on different church and religious organizations in Ukraine, monitor other news sources, and prepare our own articles. This is enough to sustain our present activity but not enough to fulfill our plans of future growth.

We are asking different organizations and churches to support us, but we would also like to ask you, our fellow readers. If you feel that our activity is useful and needed, please support us. We will reach our goal if 200 readers send a $50 donation.
